Making Barbed Wire wines, we like to think of ourselves as craftsmen—building wines from the ground up.

We believe that to make great wine, you’ve got to get your hands dirty. You’ve got to go out into the vineyards and learn what makes each region special.

 

Producing North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon our Winemaker Brian Babcock sourced fruit from
Alexander Valley and Lake County’s Red Hills vineyards.
Grapes are gently cold-soaked during fermentation to give the blend a smooth, silky texture,
then aged in large oak barrels for added body and flavor.

 

 At Barbed Wire, we take pride in our craft by focusing on quality not quantity.
This allows us to make tremendously expressive wines—wines that are respected by wine critics from around the industry.  Enjoy!
