Premium craft wines from a family-run winery in Sonoma County. The owner studied winemaking at UC Davis and also studied wine aromas. Her study contributed to the wine aroma wheels. Please enjoy this award-winning fragrant Bordeaux blend made carefully with passion by fragrance experts.

Richly concentrated, dark aromatics of wild blackberry, blueberry and mocha-laced oak followed by dark plum, black cherry, vanilla and chocolate. Supple tannins stay in the background complimenting the layered flavors. We recommend decanting 30-60 minutes before enjoying.

Varietals: 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot

Region: Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County

Production: 55 cases

Slightly restrained when first opened, the wine will blossom with decanting. 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot. Only 75 cases produced. Alc.14.4%

Outstanding Value!!! This Cabernet is perfect for everyday. It does not require food but it certainly will enhance a meal greatly! Great Cabernet does not have to cost and arm and a leg and this is a perfect example.

Poppy winery is located in Monterey Wine Country and was founded by the Silva Family, who in 2003 endeavored to create and perfect carefully crafted wines with a focus on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Poppy wines are produced from vineyards located in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Arroyo Seco, Monterey and Paso Robles Appellations, located along California’s Central Coast.
By controlling grapes sourcing and operating a state-of-the-art facility, Poppy combines age-old winemaking traditions with new world techniques that ensures you experience the best of California in every glass.

When deciding on a name the Silva’s wanted something that spoke to the great state of California, where their family had settled so many years ago. While looking into the vineyard at wild poppies growing amongst the vines the name was born.
