Almost opaque in colour with scents of chocolate, cassis and black cherry. The palate is dominated by flavours of blackcurrant and red plum with subtle leathery notes. This is a robust and supple wine with a lasting finish. Merlot is the perfect accompaniment to beef - try with a rump steak and herb stuffing, braised beef olives or steak and oyster pie. Alc. 12.5%
